Introduction:

Our crew of talented guides narrate our Audio Adventure Tours so that you can experience and learn more about Denver's unique history, architecture, and landmarks on your own time.

This tour has something for everyone! You'll see the hustle and bustle of Denver's LoDo area, while making your way to the infamous Brown Palace, with one bonus top along the way that even
most locals don't know about! This is a great opportunity for Coloradans to see the Mile High City from a completely new perspective and gives our visitors a chance to get an inside and exclusive look at our city away from the tourist traps.

A big welcome from Denver Walking tours team member, Alyce:

Welcome to Denver Walking Tours Audio Adventure Walking Tour Series.  We’re glad you’re here!

My name is Alyce, and I've had the pleasure of guiding tours in and around the Denver area for almost a decade.  I am originally from the Midwest, having grown up in Wisconsin and Ohio.  My family took a road trip out to Colorado when I was 14 – we went to Rocky Mountain National Park, we visited the zoo, the Botanic Gardens, and the Nature and Science museum, we drove up to the top of Mount Evans – the highest paved road in North America…and I fell in LOVE with Colorado.  I told everyone – “One day, I’m going to move to Colorado!”.  And, about 15 years ago, I made that happen.  I love this city; I love this state, and I’m excited to share it with you.

So, we’ll be starting this tour at the intersection of 20th and Blake Street, in front of Coors Field Ballpark in the Ballpark neighborhood of Denver.  Denver, itself, sits at about 5,280 ft, or one mile, above sea level…and, as such, is called The Mile-High City.  Your tour today will start here, and will guide you through some of the oldest parts of the city, wind our way past buildings in the old warehouse district, onto the popular pedestrian mall along 16th Street, past skyscrapers – old and new- ending just about a mile from where we started, at the beautiful and historic Brown Palace Hotel and Spa.

This route will include just over a mile and a half of walking, at relatively flat terrain.  And, I will offer commentary at several sites designed to introduce you to the city of Denver, its history, its characters, and its culture.

Depending on how long you take to enjoy each site and the pace at which you walk, the tour will take approximately an hour to an hour and twenty minutes or so.  We’ve tried to include some of the route’s most interesting locations, and we truly hope that you love the experience!
